I build full-stack systems that keep running without me.

TypeScript and Next.js on AWS, PostgreSQL underneath, and agents doing the work on a schedule. Most recently the only engineer on a homebuilder's entire platform.

01A few true things

I burned out, so I moved to Seoul

Microsoft and a startup left me fried, though I love Seattle and miss my friends there. Korea was the reset: four years of full-time Korean at Yonsei, fintech on the side, a culture worth learning properly. I still study the language now.

Everything happens to EDM

Lifting, cycling, running, hiking, camping, coding: all of it, one soundtrack. Rezz, Illenium, Above & Beyond on rotation. I grew up playing club soccer and the Olympic Development Program; my soccer trading engine, you may notice below, did not inherit the talent.

Mina, mostly

A Bernedoodle, born on Valentine's Day 2026 and amazing. Also: I love cooking, as long as it is HelloFresh. Directions I can follow, no leftovers, and no grocery store.

What I'm building now

Talk is cheap.

Proof is queryable.

The full listening ledger
Every day, last twelve months — plays
OctNovDecJanFebMarAprMayJunJulAugSep

14,038 plays on 309 of 365 days. Loudest: November 18, 211 plays.

Favorite artist

Above & Beyond

1,537 plays and 98.5 hours, the most of anyone across 12 years of listening history. The gap to second place is the verdict.

Favorite song

Shelter — Porter Robinson

My most-played actual song, at 157 plays. The literal all-time number one is a track called Ghostly Voices — Horror Sound Effect, 479 plays, every one of them in 2019. I have no defensible explanation, and the database refuses to forget.

Artist of the year

Rezz, currently

By play count within each year: Purity Ring '16, Zeds Dead '17, Above & Beyond '18, Ultimate Horror Sounds '19, Above & Beyond '20, Above & Beyond '21, Rezz '22, AK '23, San Holo '24, John Summit '25, and Rezz leads '26 so far.

Gym

1,615 workouts logged

Since April 2018. These days it is lifting most mornings plus a structured running plan, all of it soundtracked by the artists above. The dip is 2023, and the receipts principle cuts both ways.

Running

1,171 miles on record

411 runs with real distance since 2018. 2025 alone was 464 miles on a structured plan; 2023 was 5 runs total. Average pace is not published because run/walk intervals make the aggregate a lie.

The bike era

2,297 miles, 2018–2022

121 rides, and then in 2022 the log goes quiet. The bike is fine. We just have not spoken since. If the log resumes, this card will know before I admit it.

Coffee

Culture Coffee, Salt Lake City

Top of my places log, verdict: must return. The log is young, so the title is winnable if you have a recommendation.

Favorite movie

WALL·E

The one answer here that is declared rather than queried: nothing instruments movie taste, so this is on my word, August 2026. A tidy robot who keeps his systems running alone for years, collects what matters, and falls hard for something newer and shinier. No idea why it resonates — though two of my systems, Auto and Eve, are now named out of it, so the resonance is apparently load-bearing.

Backdrop: the artists at work — a Seedance render, not a measurement. No receipt exists for that one.
